Operation HQ Success for 1st Crawley
Saturday 18 May saw the Crawley scout groups in action for Operation HQ. Teams had to navigate and hike between the town’s group HQ’s, tackling an ‘incident’ at each hut.

At Oak Road we had a blindfold fruit tasting challenge, followed by a semaphore flag communications task. One thing we learned: nobody knows what a prune tastes like!

1st Crawley Team B came joint 1st with two teams from 4th Worth. Team A managed a creditable 6th out of 9, despite going slightly off track and walking 14 miles instead of 8!
Congratulations to both 1st Crawley teams for a fantastic effort.
